We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide this website and our services or where you have consented. Personal data means all information relating to an identified or identifiable person.
3. Newsletter and Lead Magnet
If you sign up for our newsletter or the free chapter (lead magnet), we process your email address in order to send you the requested content and regular performance briefings.
Double Opt-in
Registration takes place via the double opt-in procedure: after you sign up, you receive an email asking you to confirm the registration. Only after your confirmation do we add you to the distribution list. In this way we ensure that the registration actually originates from you.
Dispatch Service Provider MailerLite
For dispatch we use the service MailerLite (MailerLite Limited). MailerLite processes your data on our behalf. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA. For transfers to third countries we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with MailerLite.
The legal basis for the processing is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link at the end of every email.
4. Amazon Partner Program (Affiliate Links)
This website contains affiliate links, including to the Amazon partner program. If you purchase a product via such a link, we may receive a commission. This does not result in any additional cost for you. When you click on an affiliate link, data may be transmitted to and processed by the respective provider in order to attribute the referral. Affiliate links are marked as such on this website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in marketing our content (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
5. Embedded Images (Unsplash)
This website embeds images provided via the service Unsplash (Unsplash Inc.). When these images are loaded, a connection is established to the provider's servers, whereby technical data such as your IP address may be transmitted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of the website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
6. Google Fonts
To ensure a uniform display of fonts, this website uses Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required fonts from Google's servers, whereby your IP address is transmitted to Google and a transfer to the USA may occur. This website is operated by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.). In this context, technical access data (e.g. IP address, time of access, page accessed) may be processed server-side in server log files in order to ensure the operation and security of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure provision of the website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
8. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how the website is used. The information generated may be transferred to and processed on Google servers, including in the USA.
We only use Google Analytics after your explicit consent via our consent banner. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TTDSG. As long as you do not consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which defaults to "denied". IP anonymisation is enabled.
For transfers to the USA we rely on appropriate safeguards, in particular the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, Google's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Cookies and Local Storage
Without your consent we only use technically necessary means. We store your choice from the consent banner locally in your browser (localStorage) so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
